Music of the Era

1800's

Ludwig van Beethoven was born in December of 1770 and died on March 26, 1827. He was German music composer and pianist who has been called one of the greatest composers of all time. Beethoven is known for many of his pieces such as the Moonlight Sonata, Fur Elise along with Fidelio and 9th Symphony. He was one of the most inspirational men of his time and has been a key figure in music over the ages.







1900's

Being nicknamed Satchmo for his large mouth and puffy cheeks, Louis Armstrong was an American jazz trumpeter and singer from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was born on August 4, 1901 and died on July 6, 1971. He was one of the first jazz musicians and he had such a unique and fabulous sound that it attracted many people. He is also known for breaking the interracial barriers of the music world through his various sounds.
